Aegis9 and Australian Data Centres entered into an agreement for the creation of a joint office space.
Aegis9 and Australian Data Centres (ADC) confirmed on Wednesday that they have entered into a new agreement to open a collective cyber security operation centre in Canberra. It is expected that Aegis9’s cyber security program will be hosted within ADC’s Canberra centre, with ADC having reserved space for Aegis9.
Aegis9’s operation centre within ADC be accredited for Zone 4 security.
Co-founder and CEO of Aegis9 Ben Aldridge welcomed the announcement.
“Aegis9 is thrilled to be part of such an exciting venture that brings together the key elements of security and sovereignty to protect critical data and services.
“This initiative allows us to provide an end-to-end capability that can deliver scalable and comprehensive security solutions to government, private industry and critical infrastructure. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be socialising our extensive capability roadmap, which is reflective of the thought leadership behind the design and build.”
The centre will oversee the protection of Aegis9's client data by tracking multiple clouds, the dark web and threats to ensure complete understanding of upcoming hazards.
The announcement was similarly welcomed by Rob Kelly, managing director of ADC.
“Security is paramount to our customers and our offering includes both a Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and a customer focused security accreditation and governance framework adaptable to the government’s security framework that is consistent with existing policies and procedures,” he said.
“An ongoing security management program with cyclical compliance, assurance, and accreditation activities, such as penetration testing and IRAP assessments, will be implemented to give ongoing confidence that our hybrid and multi-cloud solution, and the systems it hosts, remain secure.”
Both Aegis9 and ADC are Australian based companies, hope that it will allow ADC to successfully engage with the upcoming parliamentary inquiry into cyber resilience.
