According to Forrester Research, "Healthcare organisations must fortify security now and continuously improve it moving forward." With ransomware, insider threats, bad bots, DDoS attacks, and spear-phishing emails targeting healthcare organisations (HCOs), Forrester Research adds that these factors have been causing havoc on an already overburdened healthcare system.

Security is critical to ensure smooth operations and the protection of patient data, as healthcare facilities continue to combat security threats. AWS Healthcare Competency recognises partners with proven customer success and technical skills in their respective categories.

As an AWS advanced technology partner, Trend Micro security solutions offering is specially designed to meet the needs of companies using AWS. This new healthcare competency accreditation is designed to protect critical healthcare operations to enable continuous care of patients by securing highly sensitive personal data.

Ashley Watkins, vice president ANZ at Trend Micro, asserts that technology innovation is in the company's DNA.

"This latest designation is another proof point of our successful business transformation as a platform-based cyber security provider.

"As we continue to expand into new business verticals, a strong relationship with AWS allows us to broaden our customer base and jointly create a secure cloud environment," Watkins said.

Trend Micro has also added the latest AWS DevOps competency, and averages more than 10 design wins a year.

Zach Evans, chief technology officer at XSOLIS, further explained that ensuring the secure exchange of data for customers is an "utmost priority". XSOLIS is a company that provides data automation, transparency, and objective insights to a connected network of providers and payers.

"By leveraging Trend Micro managed services, we have improved our security posture and meet compliance with ease, allowing us to focus on our mission of accelerating data-driven decision making and collaboration to create a more efficient healthcare system," Evans said.
