Charles de Jesus has been named as Sophos’ new channel director, ANZ, responsible for expanding the company’s market footprint in the region.

He joins Sophos from Citrix, where he served as director of regional sales.

Prior to joining Citrix, de Jesus held various sales and channel roles across a number of firms, including Riverbed Technology, NetApp, Avaya, Westcon and Optus.

“We’re delighted to have Charles join Sophos ANZ in this role, as he brings a wealth of experience with him,” John Donovan, managing director, ANZ at Sophos said.

“I have no doubt Charles will be a valuable addition to the Sophos family, not only continuing the momentum of our ANZ channel, but taking it to a new level.”

The new appointee welcomed the opportunity to spearhead Sophos growth in Australia and New Zealand.

“Sophos is a global cyber security leader that has a reputation for putting its partners first and placing a real emphasis on the channel,” de Jesus said.

“This is something that resonates strongly with me, especially given I’ve worked on both sides of the vendor/partner relationship.

“With the cyber security landscape everchanging and evolving, it’s vital ANZ businesses are well-equipped to defend against cyber criminals. Working closely with our channel partners is critical to achieving this, so I’m looking forward to collaborating with them and better supporting them.”
