Senior representatives from across the industry are set to take part in an open forum, aimed at exploring ways to bolster Australia’s cyber workforce.
Cyber security company ParaFlare and consultancy firm Deloitte will jointly host a cyber security conference in Canberra, aimed at preparing Australia’s workforce for the future technology landscape.
The event, sponsored by the UNSW Institute for Cyber Security, will be held at the National Press Club on Friday, 25 March, from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
It will involve a panel discussion – “Training the cyber workforce Australia needs” – featuring senior representatives from across the industry.
Panellists include:
“As cyber threats continue to increase, so does the demand on the cyber workforce. Cyber security professionals are on the frontline protecting businesses, governments and organisations from increasing threats,” ParaFlare and Deloitte noted in a joint statement.
“We need a cyber workforce that can protect Australia against the threats we've only started to imagine.
“Now is the time to put Australia's best minds together to tackle this problem. Training the cyber workforce Australia needs is a challenge that requires urgent action across states and territories.”
