Zscaler and Datacom sign NZ managed services provider agreement

Datacom will be one of only two local NZ companies with Zscaler MSP status and part of a small group Australasia-wide.

Previously a reseller for Zscaler, and already providing implementation and support services, the MSP partnership recognises the quality of managed security services that Datacom is already wrapping around Zscaler for their customers.

It will enable Datacom to meet the demand among New Zealand public sector and enterprise managed services prospects for Zscaler’s zero trust platform, which enables fast, secure connections and allows employees to work from anywhere using the internet as the corporate network.

The agreement will enable Zscaler to expand its New Zealand footprint and help to accelerate its overall business growth to meet the growing demand for a cloud native platform built on zero trust. Zscaler and Datacom both have an absolute focus on improving the security posture of organisations and enabling them to conduct business with lower risk.

Datacom New Zealand works closely with leading technology partners across various applications to help organisations better manage their digital assets. The company delivers a broad spectrum of operations, including cyber security, cloud, digital platforms and applications designed to empower customers with leading data protection.

The Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange is now an integral part of Datacom’s security and network services. The Datacom Zscaler offering is set to deliver 24/7 management, monitoring, detection and analysis, and provides real-time insights and recommendations, providing customers with the cloud security scale they require to operate efficiently and support their productivity and compliance requirements.

According to Foad Farrokhnia, head of channels and alliances Asia-Pacific and Japan at Zscaler, they work with partners who are well-respected, credible, customer-obsessed, and can deliver and support migration to a zero-trust architecture successfully.

Over the past 18 months, Datacom has invested extensively in Zscaler sales and services certifications. In addition, the organisation has engaged with Zscaler on strategic accounts, particularly in the public sector, where it has demonstrated capability and credibility to deliver Zscaler’s zero trust offerings as a managed service.

The combination of Zscaler’s Zero Trust Exchange platform and Datacom’s managed services and expertise will provide a winning combination for accelerating secure digital transformation for customers.

“The majority of enterprises in New Zealand have not started on their path to zero trust or are yet to reach maturity in this security strategy,” Evetts said.
